On 24 and 25 June, the licensing industry, along with companies from the entertainment, fashion and retail, content creation, food & beverage, gaming, toys, publishing, home & living and sports sectors, will gather for BRANDmania at the Zeche Zollverein in Essen.

WDR mediagroup is delighted to announce some exciting developments in its portfolio this year. Alongside ‘classic brands’ such as Die Maus (The Mouse), Der kleine Maulwurf (The Little Mole) and Meine Freundin Conni (My friend Conni), WDR mediagroup represents other promising brands that offer potential for exciting collaborations. For instance, “Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom”, a new cinema highlight, is set to be released on 1 October 2026, and in 2027 Shaun will be celebrated in style with the 20th anniversary of the TV series and the “Year of the Sheep”. Particularly noteworthy is the new development “Schalotte – Eine Zwiebel für alle Fälle” (Schalotte – An Onion for all Cases), the first vegan crime comedy, which is expected to launch on “Die Sendung mit der Maus” from spring 2027. Furthermore, Edmund and Luzie (Edmond and Lucy), a series that combines the themes of family, friendship, the environment and nature conservation both narratively and in its production, offers interesting opportunities to translate the series’ content into tailor-made products for fans. The stories featuring Bobo Siebenschläfer (Bobo Dormouse) are hugely popular with 3- to 6-year-olds, a fact reflected in the licensing partnerships that have been established.
